Crafting Magic Between Worlds

Hi! I’m Liza Bee—paranormal romance author, practicing pagan, and creator of the Moonlight & Maplewood Universe.

By day, I craft worlds of shifters, witches, and fated mates. By night, I work as a customer service representative at Walmart. And in every stolen moment between—during breaks, lunch hours, and early mornings—I weave the magic that connects my storytelling to my spiritual practice.

My Two Paths Are One

Some people keep their creative and spiritual lives separate. I can’t—and I don’t want to. My pagan practice informs every word I write. The magic in my Pumpkinridge series isn’t just generic fantasy; it’s grounded in real pagan traditions, sabbat celebrations, and earth-based spirituality.

When I write about witches honoring the seasons, I’m drawing from the wheel of the year I follow in my own life. When my characters celebrate Samhain or Beltane, those are the same sabbats I observe. My stories weave pagan holidays and authentic magical worldview into romance that celebrates connection to nature and the sacred cycles of life.

The Author Side

I write cozy paranormal romance across three interconnected series in the Moonlight & Maplewood Universe:

Rocky Mountain Pack - Shifter romance in the Colorado Rockies where grumpy alphas meet their fated mates and pack loyalty runs deeper than blood.

Pumpkinridge - Witch romance with supernatural chaos in a hidden Vermont town where magic is served daily with a dash of chaos and a sprinkle of charm.

Sugarplum Hollow - Christmas magic that never melts, featuring reindeer princes, enchanted traditions, and holiday romance in an eternal winter wonderland.

I’m on track to replace my family’s income with my author business by July 2027. Some people say it’s impossible to build an author career while working 40+ hours a week. I’m proving them wrong, one book at a time.

The Witch Side: Moon Witch’s Nook

The Moon Witch’s Nook is my digital witch business—a sacred space where I share the pagan practices that inspire my storytelling, but as real-world resources for modern practitioners. While my books weave in sabbat celebrations and magical worldbuilding, The Moon Witch’s Nook offers actual tools: digital grimoire pages, lunar magic resources, tarot guidance, and spiritual practices for creative souls.

It’s where readers can explore the pagan traditions that shape my fictional worlds—and where fellow pagans can find resources that honor both creativity and craft. The sabbats my Pumpkinridge witches celebrate? I observe those same holy days in my own practice, and The Nook offers guides to help you do the same.

What Makes Me Different

I’m not a romance author who dabbles in witchy aesthetics. I’m not a witch who occasionally writes. I’m both, fully and completely, and each practice deepens the other.

My books celebrate real pagan values: connection to nature, honoring cycles, found family, and the magic that exists when we open ourselves to it. My witchcraft honors storytelling as a sacred act—a way of weaving spells with words.
